If you see this, QTP with a title screen that’s iconic to you!

I couldn’t choose, so have all of them.

Top 4 FFs

It physically pains me to not have 12 or 5 on here, but the rules is the rules.

Today is March 5th. The day Persona 3 ends in game. The day your eyes feel heavy, and you wander into eternity.

There is very little I can say about Persona 3 that hasn’t already been said better by folks far more intelligent and prepared than I. But know that this game is a immense emotional—

#4 Fairyland Book, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir. This book really surprised me. I didn’t expect to care for Mercedes as much as I did, and it showed the game’s hand with perspective being the driving force of how we view conflict, not to mention the gameplay suddenly becoming Metal Slug reflecting so.

#4 Pooka Prince Book, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir.
If anything cemented my thought that this game is inherently a Shakespearean inspired action game, it was this route. Wonderfully dramatic and well thought out.

Let’s all pretend I didn’t forget to update this and that I’m not catching up.
#3 Valkyrie Book, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir.
An immensely fascinating route from a game that really crept up on me. I’ve had the game for years but struggled to fully go through it. Not at all disappointed so far.

Happy 8 years to NieR: Automata, easily on of the most expertly crafted experiences in the medium, and arguably the best action game of all time. Easily Yoko Taro’s most polished work, and by far his most emotionally complex, thematically poignant, and impossibly beautiful display of love for man.

#2 Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut
Reset Ending
Dev: Black Tabby Games
I’m unsure what it is about this game that drives me to feel so impossibly lonely, and yet so driven in my need to fill the void within.
The reset ending furthers this need.
The end is never the end is never the end is never-

#1 Nosferatu.
Direct. Robert Eggers.
Brilliant horror film, genuinely a treat for the senses, if a bit freaky (See:horny)
All of it was broadly handled with grace, and this reminded me quite a lot of BloodBorne given its setting and timeframe, which was a lovely treat. Recommended.

I think more people should play Yasumi Matsuno titles.
He is, bar none, the most proficient writer in games when it comes to political conflict. I don’t think there’s a single game of his that isn’t filled to the brim with nuance and biting critique of power.

Simply astonishing to me that this generation saw the release of multiple classics in the SRPG genre (yes, I know Tactics Ogre Reborn is a remake, let me HAVE THIS).
Made all the more satisfying by the immaculate cover art for each.
The people crave an FF Tactics remaster.

There are any number of things I can say about Xenoblade 2. How I love its world. The joy Torna brought me. The memories I have of playing it, where I was when first finishing it, every number of things. But I haven’t the time or the space. So I’ll keep it brief.

Since I’m making a bunch of FE threads, I may as well toss my hat into the ring of the 3ds era.

Fire Emblem Awakening is the logical conclusion to Fire Emblem as a series up to that point. Fitting, given it very much was intended to be the final game should sale not pan out.

Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade is a game I hold dear, though not for the reasons one would assume.

It wasn’t my first FE. Heck, it wasn’t even my third. But I played it at a very formative time in my life, and the memories I have of that time are the kind I’ll hold dear forever.

As an addition to my previous post about Fire Emblem 4, I’ve been diving into the first title in the series on switch, which Nintendo localized for the 30th anniversary. While on one hand, I want to critique the localization not being as vibrant as 8-4’s superb work on the DS remake…

To ignore the country slowly strangling itself to death around me, I’ve been playing a game that oddly mirrors modern events, though obviously not 1-1, and was hardly the intended metaphor.

I’m a little late to the party, but I’m exceptionally excited for X Definitive Edition’s coming release. The original game has a particular under-appreciated world and cast within the core fan base, and I’m stoked to see the coming re-appraisal after they experience the new content.

Last night, I started “Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut” on my switch, and I’m at a genuine loss for words on what it is I’m experiencing. Sometimes I feel as though I’m playing the game out of order, like I’m missing something, but other times I feel as though I’ve played exactly into…something.

The original S;G is a game I hold dear to my heart, but I often felt as though it needed just a LITTLE more meat on the bones. Exceptionally excited to see this announcement.
