i appreciate that lol, I'm definitely the type to take my ocs and even other stuff very seriously. Especially anime. It really bothers me when people pick apart anime i like because xyz doesn't make sense "realistically" lol

of course!! i actually have a few Cecaelian ocs myself, so i did some digging way back when because i was sure there had to be a word for it. After all, we have a few notable ones in media, namely Ursula, so in my mind, they had to have some kind of species name! 😊 I'm glad i could share!

there's actually a word for octopus merpeople, and it's Cecaelia (as a plural), and Cecaelian (as a species) 😊
