If there's room for non-printers to help with admin stuff, I'd love to help! Otherwise I'll keep cheerleading and contributing to wishlists from here!

(I first typed whistlists, and tbh I think I should have let the typo go)

However, that linktree also has info on their favorite whistle files - your friend could experiment with those and see about distributing them locally, and check back later to see if the group is open to onboarding new people again.

With the caveat that I'm not in the printing group, I believe this particular group is not currently onboarding new members due to recent volume of new people. Printers in the group are matched with incoming requests and send batches of whistles directly to requesters.

The pancake page is by far the most "decorated" (with notes and flour) of any book in our well-beloved copy of the King Arthur Flour Cookbook! It's a great recipe.

Smaller cons are so fun! My biggest local one is for retro games, and while I'm happy they've been able to grow so much, I almost miss their dinky early days.

I think a good question to ask, when you're considering uncomfortable places to go in your writing, is "uncomfortable for who?" Who's most comfortable and uncomfortable with slurs, specifically?

He said “stay warm, read smut” and the people did!!! A win for libraries!!!
"The number of downloads...surged by 529% after Mr. Mamdani’s news conference"

"there had been 3,000 people on a waiting list to access a limited number of e-book copies"

"2,000 people applied for a library card over the weekend, roughly twice as many as had applied by this time last year"

A win!
gifting this article because it made me laugh, which is hard to do in this context. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/26/n...

*waves from Syracuse* this isn't upstate NY at its prettiest, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!
