Look, I know FF8 is one of the least liked games of the series but it was my very first one. Getting to summon a giant leviathan in the demo at the ripe old age of 5 changed something in me. Seeing how much love it's getting and how many iconic characters, creatures, and more is fantastic.

It's wild how much Sora & Riku are actually the OTP in this series. It's even more apparent in the 2nd game when Sora just waves off Kairi's arrival but breaks down into tears and grovelling on the floor after touching Riku's hand and figuring out his identity. Not a new take but still.
