And that’s the story of how I spent the morning hiking in horrible heat and humidity before work, waving a stick in front of me to try and keep the spiders off of my body, except that did not work and many spiders ended up crawling on me and also a tick that I found when I got home. Ahh nature

Then I thought, why end early, maybe I can get some nice pictures of birds! Instead of going to a place I know a plethora of birds will be, I chose to check out a trail on a nature preserve I’d never been to. Did i see any birds? No. Did I all through like 500 spider webs !!!!? Yes.

Did I see any deer? Of course not! I saw one frog. And a squirrel and hiked a mile and sweated a lot and went back to my car.

Working under John shaped me into the librarian and the person that I am today. He led with a lot of compassion, thought of out-of-the-box solutions and cared about people’s dignity. Libraries are for everyone, and he really got that. This is a big loss. Thinking of his family and his many friends

I love mini wheats! Lately I’ve been throwing frozen chicken strips (nuggets would work) in the air fryer and slapping that in a tortilla with lettuce, ranch and buffalo sauce
