I have nothing to add. Missing a CB and CM. Simple. Why have we repeatedly been so slow to fill obvious gaps over the last 18 months? Can't imagine being slow to recruit saves us much money, but it certainly costs points.

I like the tight three up front and the width coming solely from the wingbacks. Baidoo a bit too eager maybe, needs a proper CF. Grimshaw still doesn't make saves, but everyone else doing their jobs alright. Unlucky to be behind.

Nah, he's oversold it, you've undersold it. We've been well on top, just in a quiet game. Felt like their first attack and shot when they scored. If we had a keeper who could reach both posts we might still be level.

Another victim of the lack of a DM that isn't Houghton. It should be a DM and Randell or Gyabi. Never both. It just doesn't work in there, and half the team suffers because of it.

Are we taking Hillsborough as canon? Pretty sure that turned out to be a dream.
Nah, I just don't think the two games so far are that big an improvement, considering the team we've put out. Obviously it's slightly better, but we were better than this before the injuries, albeit wildly inconsistent.

In fairness, it's the - small - improvement you'd expect with the injuries returning. With a run of home games and signings in and out, there will never be a straight comparison. Bit like Foster at almost a point a game, then getting sacked before the easier games. You can suspect, but...

With him I thought we were potentially only two signings (DM, full back) from being able to stay up, with players coming back to fitness. Now it's looking impossible. We won't get a CB as good as him this month. Best CB I've seen at the club.

We've not got it right since we came up

Call their bluff. Turn up and play them anyway, the cowards. Liberal elite snowflakes.

Like this. Maybe even Sorinola and Mumba at full back since there's actual support from midfield for them. Wright/Al Hajj/Randell/Gyabi can all float wide or centrally as needed, and Wright's energy should stop Al Hajj being suffocated and outnumbered every time

I strongly agree with having 3 midfielders. We lack quality there, so we need quantity. I'd go back to Schumacher's occasional pair of 8s/10s behind a CF as well while the wide men are injured

It's this for me. Nothing about him or his reputation suggests forward-looking.

I promptly moved to Bristol that same year. Coincidence? Yes.

I miss Steve Castle too, but you need to move on

Yeah but you clearly hate fun
