I've not had a chance to run it, but I really love Vex's In Golden Flame module for Lancer! So many fun NPCs, locations full of character and history, and it engages with a lot of Lancer lore in a cool way without pulling punches even at some of the nicer factions in the setting.

I also drew this really silly sketch of Kagero and Minami might look like. No one wins (Minami is supposed to be dehydrated in a puddle of melted ice but I made the sketch a little too small for proper details).

Don’t have a firm backstory but her name’s Kagero and she has the Scorch Release kekkei genkai! She’s nicknamed “Phantom” because she seems untouchable (a trick created by clever use of her heat abilities).
A woman with messy, dark hair tied back in a loose bun and a scar across the left side of her mouth. She wears a black, backless unitard with detached sleeves and a sash around the waist bearing a metal plaque with the sand village symbol on it. In one hand she holds a double-edged, guardless short-sword, whole in the other she generates an orb of heat. Smaller diagrams show that she wears a hooded cloak on missions and that her sword is made from a tungsten allow. Her name is Kagero, which is also written in kanji.

Kagurabachi, meanwhile, is basically "What if John Wick was an anime, and also he was avenging his dad, who is Oppenheimer for magic swords?". It's a bit of a slow start but it has some sick paneling that makes me think a lot of early Naruto's paneling.

"In order to prevent catastrophic loss of life, a Union vessel - the UNS-FS Tenochtitlán - burns towards the comet carrying a team of Union Auxiliaries, equipped with the tools to crack the comet apart and neutralize its threat to the people of Calli". BRIEFING Despite the tremendous stakes, the mission is not expected to be particularly eventful. The work of breaking comets, after all, is traditionally handled by civilian mech pilots - the choice of Union Auxiliaries for this mission has more to do with proximity and convenience than any serious concerns about the potential dangers of the work.
