I never followed this title but any connection the Dane has me interested in at least flipping through the book.

Critters is awesome. I love the entire franchise. Some of that is nostalgia but even now it’s a solid creature feature.

Side notes: The Chiodo Brothers from Killer Klowns from Outer Space fame did a lot of the creature effects in the first film & a young Leonardo DiCaprio appeared in the third film

Critters on the big screen would be the seller for me but TMNT would be great too.

There are also movies that I am glad didn’t make it. Katherine Dunn’s Geek Love had Tim Burton attached to it at one time. While I enjoy his films, his style would have been way too distracting to the original work. Dunn‘s writing is brutal and beautiful which would have been lost under Burton.

Yeah, I’d be happy just reading a detail synopsis at this point to see where he would have taken it.

I also wish both The Goon and Strangers in Paradise had made it out to the broader world as well.

The Oni series The Bunker was rumored to have been optioned at one point by NBC. While I have little faith in NBC doing the book justice it would have gotten more attention on the creators. I am not sure what Joe Infurnari is up to nowadays but he had such beautiful work that was quite unique.

He was attached to a Deadman series/movie at one time that I would have loved to have seen get made.

Thank you for a nice list to look up! As someone living in the south east of America, this sounds amazing. Big fan of Levin’s work. About time for a couple rereads though.

I am listening to the audio book today while on a very long drive. My local book store has a copy on order for me but not in just yet. Currently on Chapter 9 and I am loving it. I can’t remember the last time I was happy to have so many hours of driving ahead of me.

Are reading/watching/listening to anything right now that is worth suggesting?

Avid readers will use every moment they can to get a few more pages in (especially if they’re at a really good point). One of my favorite things is seeing someone reading in an awkward setting. I always try to see the name of the book when that happens. Something is driving them to do that.

Absolutely amazing work. How can something this amazing be out of print? What are the chances of a Kickstarter reprint or some such thing happening? I’ll be keeping an eye out for an any copy in any format from today forward. How I missed this when it was released escapes me.
