The whole channel sickness business is interesting. It’s not even very far. I have spent a bit of time over water, with one fan, and I would have said you get used to it. On the other hand, I have known blokes who want a life jacket to fly over a hydro electric dam, so maybe some don’t.

Perhaps what the Luftwaffe overlooked was the Hurricane’s stability as a gun platform, and that it could be flown by men not long out of a basic trainer. The ground attack work that the Hurricane did out thus way, in the east, later in the war will testify to its suitability as a gun platform.
