No more heroes 2: NMH1 is genuinely one of my favorite games ever, and I was SO excited for more. This game has, no sauce. Well, very little. The writing isn't *bad* but it was the core of the original, and going from and 11/10 to like, a 7, feels so, so terrible. (1/2)

Gundam Gquuux: I'll admit, I had incredibly high expectations, and damn do I feel let down. Paced pretty, bad. The new things it adds (Mavs) add basically nothing to the show and feel hollow. Kinda reference-slop in an uninteresting way. I liked challia? Like WFM, it needed more episodes FS. 6.5/10?

Re:Zero season 3: Phew, it has some pretty great moments and some pretty baffling decisions, it burns me greatly that so much of what makes season 1 great has been lost to pursue a more traditional battle shonen formula. I'm struggling between a 7 and an 8, it did make me cry a little tho

FLCL (rewatch): oh my first go around with FLCL I appreciated it more for its insane animation and slapstick, while feeling its deeper meaning was a bit too obtuse to really impact me, but now coming back I appreciate the sheer fucking ARTISTRY on display, the direction especially, it has soul. 9/10

Soul Hunter (Audio book): What an absolute treat, it absolutely puts the Night Lords over as an incredibly interesting faction where I previously did not see one, I was hooked the whole way through, definitely a very strong 8

I had a pretty similar experience at first, genuinely kinda despising HxH during the hunter exams. Currently however I believe HxH is one of the greatest *things* ever written, and my rose tinted glasses are so thick I look back on HE with nothing but love. TLDR give it a second, it finds its feet

If you had told me how much I'd like TW:III before I played it I would have called you a *liar*. A game I basically couldn't put down, I found both the macro and micro endlessly engaging and easily understand why most people have 1000+ hours into this game. The easiest 9/10 I've ever given WOW

Blue box is... Not my thing, and that's ok. I found it doing "the tropes" too often and straight forward with the "big moments" not landing. I like the side cast but the "main girl" seemed far too 2 dimensional to hook me into the romance. The sports too was, just ok. Jack of all trades, 6 outta 10

The legend of the strongest, Kurosawa speaks to fukumotos roots, working class heroes as flawed as they are charming. With the occasional big thematic swing. The gimmick of a 45 year old man in a shonen battle manga is hilarious. But I found it wanting and I'm not sure why?I'm feeling a strong 7
