Many books are banned by public schools and public libraries. This impacts low income folks disproportionately. They can't just go purchase these or may not have time to hunt them down. By gifting these works, you're sharing access with people for whom these works would otherwise be out of reach.

I've done this but had parents refuse them (fair enough). Looking for new ideas/options. Donate to Little Free Libraries? Buy Nothing Groups? Homeschooling co-ops? Any tips on finding groups that would appreciate them? I'm worried LFL/local groups would only lead to them being confiscated/trashed.
