All I have is this button from the MN State Fair.

Just voted in the MN-34B special election to fill the state House seat once held by Melissa Hortman. She held that seat for 20+ years before she was assassinated.

The yard signs memorializing her are still standing in my neighborhood: “thank you Melissa. You had our backs. Now we have yours.”

Gotta say, this was my favorite swag from the Minnesota State Fair. Good job, DFL. I’ll wear it proudly.

Both of these singers died within the past month. To women of a certain age - especially those who were naive geeky middle school girls in the 70s - one stands head and shoulders above the other.
