And the backlog grows…

I am getting started on my next #gunpla kit, though I still have no idea what direction I’ll take this.

I figured I’d shame myself with the absurd #gunpla kit backlog that I’ve built up over the last two years. One of the Aile Strikes will likely be next.

My first Master Grade #gunpla kit, and first pre-shading attempt, is done. There is plenty I could do differently or better, but I’m pleased with the results. It’s nice to add a granddaddy Gundam to the shelf.

I built the Gundam Schwarzette in between coats on the other kits. The Witch from Mercury #gunpla continue to be amazing. I slightly damaged the saber blade, so I used it as an excuse to make a replacement that I airbrushed a more anime accurate blue.

At last, I'm calling these two kits done. I have also made progress on the master grade.

They looked nice in person, too!

I asked my wife to select my next kit from my backlog; She chose the SDEX Rising Freedom. I also pulled out the Astray Red Frame and snapped it together. Now — along with my first master grade in the queue — I have a lot of painting to do.

I recently completed my high grade Aerial. I thought this was going to be a casual build, but I ended up breaking out the paints for a few parts. The color accents included in the SIMP decal set turned out nice.

Aerial is coming along. Other than the thigh permit stickers, it has been a nice build. #gunpla

I put the final top coat on the real grade Astray Red Frame today. Although I kept this gunpla build simple and clean, I still enjoyed making it my own with decal choices and some painted details. I also broke my first V-fin… twice.
