This is stupid. You are in a position power where you can actually stand up to this "assault" but instead you are ceeding that power so you can do what... complain on social media like the rest of us? So shocking (sarcastic) a Reagan appointee showing no back bone.

So if you want to wish me a Happy Arimistice Day, fine, but not Veterans Day. And if you really want to "thank" us for our "service", start by showing up on Election Day and then vote for people who actually care about protecting the Constitution. Otherwise your "patriotism" is worthless. 5/5

By changing Armitice Day to Veterans Day, America chose to celebrate soldiers instead of peace. Any real soldier will tell you, there is nothing to celebrate about what they do. At best, it is a necessary evil. I don't want to be celebrated. Any soldier who does is likely a sociopath. 4/5

After WW2 the rest of the world continued to celebrate Armistce Day or Remeberance Day and it is a day to celebrate peace. However, in 1954, at the height of McCarthy Paranoia, the US decided to change it to #VeteransDay and it turned into to a celebration of "warriors". 3/5

If you've fought in a war, you know it is a terrible thing, not a thing to be glorified. Nov 11th was originally designated as #ArmisticeDay to celebrate the END of WW1. It was supposed to be the "war to end all wars". Then WW2 happened. 2/5
