I like the way some of those yakuza games do it, where once you've stopped moving for a while, kiryu goes into an idle animation while a text box below goes "oh yeah, I guess I gotta go do this when I have some free time". Helps preserve some of that hangout in a space vibe

Honestly I'd be happy if they just release the thing worldwide at the same time. Bit annoying having to wait years and pay extra for living in Australia

Not Quite Hollywood (2008), if you wanna learn about the Australian Exploitation films of the 70's and 80's (very comforting personally because I rented a lot of trashy VHS tapes back when that was a thing you could do)

Years back I caught an elderly relative playing a 2048 clone and quietly bought them Threes and stuck in on their home screen. Not even to be nice, just seeing 2048 was stressing me out personally.

Golden Crown! The owner (lovely lady, was always staffing the front counter) retired after 44 years. Best chinese food in Ballarat imo

It would be somewhat bearable if you could block every scammy curator you see, but steam placed an arbitrary limit of 100 blocks before it just doesn't work any more. Hell, even a toggle to only show the ones I follow would be enough.

If you're counting Australian Prime Ministers, we've only lost the one to the ocean. Pretty good track record considering.

It is appreciated, as the horrors do persist

Gotta love that Starbucks absolutely failed to make a dent in Australia, mostly cause they completely ignored the local coffee culture and tried to sell us crappy drinks for more money. Most of their stores are closed and I couldn't be happier.

Good thread Doc. It's always frustrating coming across people who've only discovered empathy as far as their front door.
