Shanghai Dawn.
Could be an action movie title, but the Bund just before 7am it was all quiet. And sunrise over the Pudong skyline & the Huangpu River was special.

I noticed how it was much easier to take a photo holding the camera at waist level and use the tiny right angle prism finder. The unsharp Brighton station shot was taken overhead at 1/25 sec.

This was my father‘s Zeiss Ikon Nettar 510/2 which was probably manufactured in Germany in the early 1930s. He owned it from new and it’s taken me no less than 17 years to get around to try it out…

Four weeks ago: The ferry to Bilbao takes a route that hugs the Brittany coast for longer than the Santander route. This is off Pointe du Raz, Finistère - Phare de la Vieille and Tourelle de la Plate.

Arrived in Zaragoza today and spotted this statue of Augustus Caesar demonstrating to Musk apologists what a Roman salute actually looks like.

Yanaka Cemetery is just a small part of www.scottyh.com/Photo-archiv..., my 7th day in Japan just over 2 months ago. All these images are in colour at that link in keeping with the many others there from my loop that day of the Yamanote Line, but I do like the way they work in monochrome!

I was a little disappointed to travel 350 miles by train to spend a day in persistent if light rain in Akita. I consoled myself in that Tokyo was facing a deluge, and no fall colours there!
