Trump is not a competent or capable policy maker. He wants other people to do the work, and he gets credit and his display makes it seem like he knows what he is doing. The reason he has been able to sign this vast number of executive orders is because Project 2025 wrote them out for him

The candle lantern is an interesting item: I don't think it was intended (historically) to be used as a table lamp or other regular light source. The clay warmed up noticeably, makin the candle burn faster than an open candle holder. I think instead this was the medieval equivalent to a flashlight.
