Proud to join my fellow arts leaders Jamilee Lacy and Brandon Bird to stand up for museums, our community, and our ongoing work. If we allow these attacks on funding and truth to continue the damage will take generations to repair. A community without culture is not a healthy and vibrant community.

We cannot allow political pressure to dictate which artists are seen, which histories are told or which communities feel welcome. This is not a partisan issue.

Had a wonderful and much needed museum experience today. Saw some of my favorite works and new surprises. And then the entire experience was tainted by a rude, aggressive, and unprovoked interaction with a staff member. The point, good hospitality is as important as any art on the wall.
