My theory is that all coaches have a certain level of bullshit they are required to exhibit. Most default to the God thing; Kirby prefers clapping timeouts and “everybody doubted us.”

I have noted this before, and I appreciate that about Kirby. Also I agree that it’s probably never crossed his mind.

They are entertaining. Plus always fun to check in on James Cook. He was good as a Dawg, but he’s unexpectedly (to me, anyway—I figured he was too small) next-level good in the league

I’m a classic southern guy that pretty much only watches TV if there’s (American) football on. I could not be further from the target market. I love that show.
