Very telling that the actual number of properties back on the market was not mentioned. That likely means it was a very small number.

10% of what? 100? 1000?

There literally were people with disabilities in that thread disagreeing with you.

30% of people with disabilities can't drive at all.

Reducing car traffic and dependency makes it much better for people with disabilities who DO need to drive.

Then you call folks ablelist for disagreeing with you?

Hospitals are car free zones

Parks are car free zones

My house is a car free zone.

Implied by your argument that because ebikes don't work for everyone we shouldn't expand access for them
January 18, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Cars don't work for everyone either, but you keep arguing for that.
January 18, 2025 at 5:52 PM
So parks shouldn't be expanded because people with disabilities can't use them?
January 18, 2025 at 5:50 PM
You have a bad faith argument. You assume perfect mobility getting to and from a car parking spot, and within whatever destination, but assume 0% mobility at all other times.
January 18, 2025 at 5:49 PM
How do you get into your car?
January 18, 2025 at 5:47 PM
People with disabilities can't live on the middle of a highway either.
January 18, 2025 at 5:46 PM
You don't have to live there.
January 18, 2025 at 5:45 PM
No one is getting rid of that.
January 18, 2025 at 5:44 PM
There's no urban planning that eliminates car access. You are making that up.
January 18, 2025 at 5:41 PM
It's "people with disabilities" by the way.
Why are incredibly wide, car filled, and dangerous streets not barriers to them? 30% of people with disabilities can't drive. What about them?
January 18, 2025 at 5:12 PM
Where have they banned car access?
January 18, 2025 at 5:06 PM
They still have plenty of cars in Amsterdam. Cars have not been eliminated.
January 18, 2025 at 5:04 PM
A bit of a counterpoint: A few people were smelting bronze 7000 years ago. I doubt everyone knew how to do that, and the ones that did profited quite a bit.

Bold claim for no evidence.

Making fun of a pudgy guy for no reason? Seems like punching down a bit.

It'll happen when Victoria's metro gets renamed to Saanich, which oh hasn't happened since 1970 when Saanich grew larger :)

"Please stop asking how this goose keeps laying golden eggs"

"Some may simply be disguising an argument against population growth as an argument against density"

This is it so many times. Every argument with a NIMBY seems to always just end up as "We're full - we don't want more people"
