Illegally detaining a minor at gunpoint while off duty? Is that not just... kidnapping?

Sage is totally gonna go far. She's so fun to watch, and she's an excellent representative of the blackhead community. Looking forward to seeing how she pivots at the merge!

Oh, hush.

I can't call myself a Roxette superfan or anything, but I definitely agree. Something about those Swedes, I guess.

Roxette is always my go-to example of a band that was way more successful in the US than anyone would realize. It's so strange how massive some of their songs were, only for them to *immediately* crater into obscurity (which you might be able to blame on the Super Mario Bros movie).

Which major intersection? Closer to the lake or further west?

Same with Chicago. We have Albany Park, and then we have Mount Greenwood.

It's also worth noting that although this number is proportionally small, you aren't just affected if you're one of these people. There is a massive communal impact, and a ton of people know one of these 3000 individuals and are now grieving in some way.

It's like this in Andersonville too

Tbh I think there are other ways to create impact. The protests can effect change by motivating people, building momentum, and accumulating numbers. The bigger they grow, the stronger the force would be once additional action takes place, such as a march or a general strike.

I appreciate the aspiration for turnover on the chart. But what if those songs charting for 400+ weeks were super popular? I feel weird about the chart not representing them just because they're old.
October 20, 2025 at 7:03 PM
In other words: if a song is *actually* the 6th most popular, it shouldn't get removed because it's been so popular for so long. That makes the rest of the chart more or less invalid. I'm coming at this from a measurement perspective though, not a journalism/pop culture one.
October 20, 2025 at 6:40 PM
I think it's good from a marketing perspective. But it drives me *mad* that some songs, for example, will be top 10 according to the chart, but only because a song that would've been 6th ended up getting removed entirely, thus moving it up a spot.

They should tweak the methodology instead.

His Instagram is sickening 🤮

I guess to clarify, I mean in community areas that have had a lot of publicity re: ICE events, considering you could probably make the argument that every area has been hit by ICE.
October 15, 2025 at 5:49 PM
People are also handing them out at smaller local businesses, especially in community areas that have recently been hit by ICE. Whistles are incredibly accessible right now. Might as well pick one up if you see one available.

You have to understand. They really know about kitchen table issues better than the general population.
October 14, 2025 at 9:23 PM
I'm sure that's what it looks like from afar. But the US is an enormous, notoriously decentralized country with challenging conditions for working-class folks. It's not so simple.

That said, the past few months have had some of the largest protests in US history, it just isn't as publicized.

No I think OP is saying they're physically incapable of getting the handcuffs on her. Like they just can't do it.

I don't think they're really trying to find people as much as they're trying to intimidate. This administration is fueled by hypermasculine aggression more than anything else.

I feel like these headlines are starting to be framed a little more candidly. Not gonna say it's a bad thing.
