Theres definitely some low hanging fruit when it comes to lighting code for large parking lots and car dealerships. On our streets, more frequent, downward oriented lights focused on the pedestrian interactions make me feel more seen than 1 big light flooding the zone. More inviting environment too!

These agenda driven surveys definitely get too much attention. People flock to downtown because of the relative lack of surface parking and human scale environment. If you redeveloped downtown based on survey your probably end up with something more like the Old Mill.

The 2nd sign at Olney and 3rd was fully in the bike lane on my way out. I had to beat the car next to me off the line to make the merge. Somebody moved it to straddle the curb by the time I headed home. Likely another biker.

Imagine if we used transportation funds to purchase right of way or public access easements for these 'missed connections.' I'd argue this would be a better return on investment than most of the transportation projects in town - including many of the other bike and ped oriented ones.
