Saskatoon's 🍁 Blake Tierney has set a new Canadian record in the 100m backstroke at the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Hungary.

Tierney finished fifth in the final with a time of 49.39 to set the new national record.

Nyhus has spent the last two seasons on the UBC Thunderbirds sideline after graduating from U Sask.

Some World Juniors news with Saskatoon Blades forward David Lewandowski cracking Germany’s preliminary roster.

Lewandowski has put up seven goals & 14 points in 19 games in Saskatoon this season.

Team Germany still has to cut one player to get down to their 25-man roster.

CEBL announces an expanded schedule from 20 games to 24 games for the 2025 season.

That means every CEBL club will be visiting SaskTel Centre and the Saskatchewan Rattlers next summer.

An exceptional November has earned Saskatoon Blades netminder Evan Gardner the title of WHL Goaltender of the Month.

The Columbus Blue Jackets prospect went 7-3-0 over the course of November with a 2.64 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

Next month, University of Saskatchewan Huskies forward Liam Keeler will be hitting the ice with Team Canada in Torino, Italy at the 2024 FISU Winter World University Games.

Keeler will also be part of the U Sports selects roster which will face Canada's World Junior selection camp players.

Yager and G Jackson Unger head to Lethbridge, while Moose Jaw gets back G Brady Smith, F Landen Ward, D Colt Carter & six draft picks.

For the second year in a row, Saskatoon Blades star blueliner Tanner Molendyk is off to Team Canada selection camp for the 2025 World Juniors.

Molendyk cracked the team last year as an 18 year old, but missed the entire tournament due to injury.
