This keeps popping up on my feed and is terrible advice. If we use the past as our compass, we’ll continue to steer towards it. It’s why we find ourselves going backwards here in the United States and in many churches.

I was introduced to them by a high school English teacher. Someone had created a curriculum around Power Windows. It wasn’t until I got to college…AS A PERCUSSION MAJOR…that a fellow drummer told me about Neil Peart. Fast Forward 30 years, I cried at work when I heard he passed.

This is our Lucy. This poor cat has been through it. Were her third home and since she’s been with us she’s had two dental surgeries and only has her front teeth left. She’s the sweetest, most loving cat you’ve ever seen. She also doesn’t lay down, she falls over.

Today is my mom’s birthday. I lost her back in December 2020. She was battling lung cancer and succumbed to pneumonia. It gets easier with time but sometimes it still hurts the same. I’ve come to believe she was the rock that held our family together and we’ve all struggled without her here.
