This is one of the coolest projects I’ve ever worked on. I was asked to make a painting for Moshe Safdie’s 87th birthday. He’s one of my all time favorite architects, and has created iconic works around the world. We’re now releasing a small number number of prints - www.astronautdinosaur.com/safdie

What? It’s the last week of my show Extinction Stories, at Harman Projects in San Francisco? How is that even possible? If you’re in the Bay Area and haven’t caught it yet, it’s up through Aug 23, alongside a truly killer show by Chris Austin. www.harmanprojects.com/exhibitions/...

Here’s another new piece, titled Coyote City, from my ongoing show Extinction Stories at Harman Projects in San Francisco. Felt timely today. Maybe it feels timely every day.

Somewhere there's a Cybertruck on fire.

Somewhere a food delivery robot cries out in the night. It has a Chipotle order it really wants to deliver and is unaware that it's contents have long ago become inedible. It drives a lonely road, searching for Randy who ordered a burrito bowl.

Hey, so randomly I’m on a boat somewhere southwest of Greenland, and World War 3 seems like it might be happening, and wait, isn’t this exactly how every post-apocalyptic book starts?

There’s a Cybertruck on fire. Everything’s on fire. “Extinction Stories,” my next show, opens August 2nd at Harman Projects in San Francisco. Surprises are in store.

Another day, more 1984.

From my 2018 show at @thinkspace-art.bsky.social where I painted a version of Los Angeles mixing the 80’s I watched on MTV with the 1984 from George Orwell.

Apropos of nothing at all, two paintings I made in 2017 and 2018.

A few months back I relived my Britpop years on here, posting a series of paintings from my first ever show in London, back in 2016, which featured guest turns from some of my favorite 90’s British bands. Now I think maybe it’s time to go to 1984.

It is with anticipation and also more than a little sadness that I’m looking forward to the conclusion of Andor, which wraps up its frankly astounding run tonight. If you haven’t been watching it, you might be thinking “Another Star Wars show? Who cares?”

I’m not currently doing anything with this information other than storing it. But someday it might be useful. If I ever have a big museum show, or if some collector or gallery or institution or guy on the street wants to know where a specific piece of mine went off to. It might be good to know.

So no big deal, but I’m asking, if you own one of my paintings (or more than one!), and if you don’t mind, drop me a line. Send me a DM. Shoot me an email. Just let me know which painting you have. You can describe it or send a photo. Either way is fine.

Which is ok! I do this for a living, and I don’t need to know where they all are. They go out into the world and live their own lives. But once in a long while, I cross paths with an old piece again, and sometimes their journey is a total mystery to me.
April 21, 2025 at 11:03 PM
I’ve made a lot of them, and often they get sold through galleries, and sometimes people on here reach out to me, very kindly, to tell me that they have purchased one of my paintings. But often enough I never hear about them again.

Hello, Internet. I’ve got a little pet project I’m working on and I thought I’d ask for a little help. After many years of doing this, it’s occurred to me recently that I have absolutely no idea where most of my paintings are.
April 21, 2025 at 11:03 PM
Here's a story for you. This painting is called At The Laundromat With Boba Fett. I made it back in 2006. I hadn't been painting astronauts long, and was think about the world the astronaut inhabited. Pop culture references were becoming a larger part of it.
