True, although guys like Niki Lauda/Helmut Marko have/had similar attributes but of course Flavio is on another level. But the framing of such characters has always a positive spin. Apart from Piquet Sr. never heard a positive spin of his character.

In such situations, I aways ask myself if that was mandated/expected or if that is premature obedience, because that is such an easy thing to do. It is not, that I view f1.com as independent source, so the headline does not surprise but yeah, not sure if they are aware how that looks.

I remember one of his last tweets last year, where he wanted to give it another shot at it. But that was it, so at least it is not social media. And sky germany replaced him with Ralf Schumacher commentating. Maybe he is just enjoing life and goes to flea markets.

So basically the arguments: "It's easy to leave places like this to the screamers and populists. But taking the easy way out cannot be the solution"? It is from www.freitag.de/autoren/ole-... German, but more less a summary I read often, along with don`t care and don`t let them spoil the fun.
Motorsport ist generell ein sehr langweiliger Sport, aber das muss so. Zum einen weil jeder Versuch, es mit einem Playoff System, jedes Jahr spannend zu machen, die Sache beliebig macht. Und auch weil man sowas wie 2021 nicht jedes Jahr aushält...
