Worst I ever heard (circa 1994): inflation was on first and the Fed was the pitcher trying the keep it from stealing second. Can’t remember which economist said that, but they had a PH.D. Still, cracks me up and makes me want to cry at the same time

Bitcoin is only worth what people think it is worth. The same could be said about any government-issued currency, such as the dollar, but the government works to ensure the value over time (yes, with some degree of inflation, targeted at around 2%). There’s no such backing with cyber securities.
