Sadly there are Americans who are so far down the rabbit hole they literally can’t climb out now and don’t want to.

Those sharpie pens are working overtime to redact Trump’s name from every page on which it appears..

Trump is a narcissistic POS. Even when people are brutally murdered he has to make it about him.

Absolutely abhorrent but there will be Americans that agree with him and even gloat at the uproar he’s causing. They are just as bad.
December 16, 2025 at 9:07 AM
Sadly I don’t think it will. He’s surrounded himself with utter sycophants that are either too stupid or too afraid to say anything for fear of being a target for his unhinged wrath.
December 16, 2025 at 9:03 AM
He really is one narcissistic MF…always about him.

I only hope that one day he’ll get the jail time he deserves but sadly I think nature will get him before the courts do.

While I would love to rejoin, under wishywashy Starmer, it’s not going to happen.

Only if Scotland overwhelmingly votes for the SNP next year at the Scottish Elections (& the independence question raises its head) might he consider it…but with a long lead time of say 15 years..🤔
December 9, 2025 at 11:42 AM
Because the media is terrified of being told they are “nasty” by Trump if they dare to say anything negative about him so keep quiet and hope no one will notice.

And now I’m bored so no more responses from me.

Have a nice day

Not MY Potus. I’m in Scotland so couldn’t care less what moron runs America.

As for great contenders and Republicans - you’re having a laugh

He doesn’t have the kind of “charisma” that Trump has nor musters the level of sycophantic worship from Republicans so he would be out at the next election.

The courts would likely hamstring him from doing too much damage for reasons above..

I’d just rather see renewable energy in Scotland - is that such a bad thing?

(and I’ve no idea where to start with the grid but I’d guess at sections that are older probably).
December 2, 2025 at 7:34 AM
Other countries have managed to go 100% renewable so it IS possible.

Where would you build the new nuclear station(s)? Next to Torness, up by Dounraey? Or over by Dumfries again?

What would be the economical and environmental costs to do so (both building AND decommissioning?).
December 2, 2025 at 7:30 AM
And of course, nuclear power stations are completely free to build aren’t they…🙄
December 1, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Grid infrastructure refers to the physical and digital systems that transmit and distribute energy, primarily electricity and gas - so replacing or updating power lines, substations etc (you’d need to update these for nuclear power too btw).
December 1, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Scotland plans to replace the energy production from the closing Torness nuclear power station primarily through significant expansion of renewable energy sources, particularly wind and hydro power, coupled with improved grid infrastructure. But you know that right

The SNP will keep its effective ban on new nuclear plants through devolved planning powers, a minister says.

One - Torness but it’s due to close soon.

Decommissioning;
- Hunterston A & B (closed 2022)
- Chapelcross (closed 2004)
- Dounraey (1994).
