Plus surely it’d be just plain cheaper to get someone else. The Bond role is a star maker - you don’t need to pay for an existing one and especially not the sort of payday you’d need to tie them into multiple movies. Then again, Amazon has money to burn, so that may not be their priority…

Even the actors know this - Timothy Dalton turned down the role because he felt he was too young when initially considered to replace Connery. Say what you will about the Broccoli dynasty, they understood what the appeal of the franchise is.

I have massive difficulty seeing Jon Bernthal being onboard with that as a storyline for Frank… not opposed to it myself!

There’s a lot of material that can be mined out of a failed replacement hero & Wyatt does a great job of adding layers. Here’s hoping he continues to get more than just the ‘that black Cap costume is too cool not to use’ that he basically has always been in the comics since he became USAgent.

I just wish they had enough understanding in the first place to have greenlit the original 5 season version. I don’t know how I’m going to cope with only two.

I just wonder if it might have made more sense if at the very least the Palpatine reveal was saved for midway through the film rather than upending everything in the opening crawl.
