Enjoyed tUnE-yArDs in Sunderland last night. Wasn’t hugely familiar with them beforehand but a really good show. Amazing what two people can do!

Relieved to see that Santa is GDPR compliant.

Opposition parties aren’t wrong though are they? People who are already working illegally now aren’t suddenly going to change their ways because of a digital ID scheme.

I don’t know, but I feel like it would be more effective to never mention Reform rather than to mention them continuously. That’s what they want. The Lib Dems as guilty as the BBC here.

Chuffed we got outstanding from Ofsted. Even happier that this is the photo they chose to send to the trade publications to announce it.

Spent the evening on a climbing wall and then out at sea as part of a different type of networking event.

A lot more entertaining than standing in a room trying to make small talk!

Sold the HomePod Mini for the Sonos Era 100.

Feel like I’m hearing bits of my favourite songs that I didn’t know existed.

The framing of these stories is weird.

In the Olympics, do they shoehorn in a mention of the bronze winners in headlines?

The dangerous thing with this in particular is the more popular something looks, the more people are inclined to go for it.

Nothing better than buying a console game on disc, going to play it, and having to wait an hour and a half while it installs 🫠

Have the BBC started capitalising High Street? Or, as I suspect, is this simply due to the lack of sub-editors these days?

Threads now lets you add markup rather than just quoting posts when resharing them.

This might just be the first vaguely innovative feature a social networking site has added in ages. And it’s actually quite useful.

Celebrated 5 years of self-employment yesterday. Massively proud of myself.

It’s something I’d wanted to do since building my first website at 18. It’s given me the flexibility and freedom I’ve wanted, and every year is getting better.

Although it did make me login to Twitter to steal this image.

I see we’re rehabilitating Ryan Giggs now.

Presenting the single most ridiculous pop-up box I've ever seen on a website.

I’ve read there are a lot bigger issues with the game. But so far this is my biggest gripe - absolutely no warning that it wasn’t ready to play until this popped up and I can’t close it.

It’s a genuinely staggering piece to have written. By a publication I always thought had its values pretty well established.

And I hate going into ethics, but you’d put money on this being a paid-for trip with the publication timed for the announcement.

Always find it amazing that I listen to music for the majority of each day, but something I listened to a few times last week (Wicked soundtrack) somehow makes it into my top 15 of the year.

Went up the castle in Newcastle for the first time - been meaning to for ages, but you always put off things on your doorstep.

This one loved being up high “above the seagulls” and the views were great. Picked a perfect day for it too.

Coming soon to a t-shirt near me.
November 28, 2024 at 7:33 AM
Probably time to retire this t-shirt from my rotation. I’ve got a couple of custom made ones I designed and printed to wear when doing talks and events, but given I don’t recommend Twitter to businesses anymore it’s a bit redundant.

Thankfully I’ve got a replacement lined up…

Asked ChatGPT to turn what I'm doing this afternoon into an inspirational LinkedIn post. I think it absolutely nailed it.

Lovely evening for it.

Made it to my favourite London pub (within the area I regularly visit). Worse ways to spend an afternoon.
