Despite being a big Carpenter fan this remained a blind spot for me until just a couple of weeks ago. Loved it. Also really glad I saw it now and not before. Felt like now is the time for me to properly appreciate it.

Same, but can’t help but feel it’s a terrible release date. Would love to be wrong, but maybe when releases were a bit quieter would have given it a better chance.

Everyday I read something like this, about the ways groups of people will gleefully dehumanise others and it makes me sick. Just vile. I don’t even know how anyone could live with themselves taking part in that.

Yeah I usually walk away from starting something if I know it won’t have a proper conclusion. It’s been a while but from my vague recollection is that you could view it as one series with a somewhat open ending. Then again it’s not a vital watch, but if you find you have the time, it’s worth a shot.

Also quite enjoyed the spin off/spiritual successor 1899. Shame it was cancelled. Not as good as Dark but I think had it had the chance to continue it could have got there.

It’s not negative to be angry and frustrated at watching a genocide happen, especially to your own. For whatever it’s worth your words have reached me and taught me about Palestine. I know I can’t be the only one.

Read the other day they’re so desperate for cash especially as a lot of us refuse to pay licence fee that they want to charge it for using streaming services like Netflix and Disney+. Everyone’s response has been we’ll cancel those too. We ain’t paying.

Honestly didn’t believe it when I first saw it, great directors choice and glad Weisz is back (no shade to Bello). A good role for Melissa Barrera would be nice also, she deserves a big event movie like this.

Not that I’d heard of those movies, but being compared to A Serbian Film is warning enough. I never want to see anything like that again. Completely killed my curiosity for seeing anything labelled controversial or shocking.

My favourite after the original. Ahead of its time. Had he done this after Scream hit, would have been received so much better.

Honestly it’s about the only thing, other than lack of new extras/retrospectives. The rest is amazing.

True, overall prefer the surround mix but having watched it as much as I have a moment or 2 stood out being different. When Nancy runs into hallpass girl there was always a music sting but now gone. Just a strange thing but like I said it’s a very minor silly quibble.
