Unfortunately it would seem so. Not that I expected anything else to be be honest. Winning independence requires being bold and that's just not John Swinney's style.

..we all realised she didn't. I'm not saying we show all cards either, not that we have many anyway, but JS needs to lay something out. A defacto referendum named as such needs to be part of that strategy. If he doesn't, and its business as usual, not enough people will vote for him and we're sunk.

More of less half the population now support independence and the point I'm trying to make is that just mentioning it now and again isn't enough to get them off their couches. It didn't work at Hamilton and it won't work elsewhere. I spent years convinced that NS had a secret plan until...

He needs to lay out a plan. Without a plan it's just words and people won't believe he means it. It's make or break time and I really hope Swinney fully understands that.
