We shouldn’t mock politicians who show emotion it shows they’re human. I remember choking up giving a speech after my parents were targeted. I’m human too. Emotion in leadership isn’t weakness it’s empathy. We need more of it, not less. Just my opinion, of course.

It was great to meet Dan again today at the Freedom of Northumberland event. I’m always struck by what a down-to-earth and genuine person he is. He is passionate about football, his family, and giving back to the community. Keep being yourself, Dan!

I had a fantastic night at the Ellington Colliery Brass Band Centenary Concert at St. John’s in Ashington, celebrating 100 years and looking forward to 100 more!
As always, I was moved by our local traditional "Colliers Requiem," and it was heartwarming to see families involved in the performance.

I attended a moving service at the county hall for Holocaust Memorial Day. We heard from a Ukrainian refugee who shared their recent experiences, as well as from Holocaust survivors. School children read poems, and Rabbi Lipsy gave a blessing. It was a truly powerful event. #HMD2025
