Love my community and helping people. Wonderful family including my beautiful pets. Northumberland and the North East is the best. Local Councillor - Leader Lab Group - NHS worker - Third Sector Director
Great afternoon helping John and Amy sort some of the hamper preparations... never underestimate the effort behind the scenes from everyone at Hadston House. What started as a small idea has flourished, and another one of my little acts of kindness for those in need continues seven years later. 😍😍

Lovely to pop into Heatherdale’s Christmas Fair today! 🎄
Grab a cuppa, buy some raffle tickets, and have a natter. Well done to the staff at Heatherdale who work so hard to create such a happy, homely environment for residents it really shines through.

Great to be in Ashington today chatting with local people and enjoying some tasty nibbles and a cuppa at a brilliant local café. ☕🍰
Graeme Wright and Melanie Fox are real local champions for Hirst and would be fantastic additions to the team. Good luck both! 👏👏👏

Turns out being the back-up striker isn’t enough for me 🤣
I’ve also been promoted to Chief Line-Painter, out here freezing my ears off so the lads have straight lines to miss the goal over tomorrow 🤣⚽️

Absolutely vile that Jess Carter has been subjected to racist abuse. There’s no excuse this has to stop.

Racism has NO place in football or anywhere.
We stand with you, Jess 🦁🦁🦁

Had the pleasure of attending the VIP Preview at #Amble Links Primary for Seaside Sketches and Sculptures. A brilliant showcase of young talent, thanks to artist Katherine Renton & #Northumberland Coast National Landscape. So inspiring – well done all! 🎨🌊👏

We shouldn’t mock politicians who show emotion it shows they’re human. I remember choking up giving a speech after my parents were targeted. I’m human too. Emotion in leadership isn’t weakness it’s empathy. We need more of it, not less. Just my opinion, of course.

A joyful evening celebrating Rev Rachael Dine’s licensing as Priest-in-Charge of St John’s Chevington & St Cuthbert’s Amble. Inspiring words from @BishopNewcastle , and great to see support from across our church & civic community. A hopeful step forward! #ChurchLife

Today on #ArmedForcesDay, I’m honoring all who serve with dedication and pride. A special shout out to my dad, who gave most of his adult life to the RAF. Your service means everything — thank you. 🇬🇧💙✈️ #ThankYouForYourService #RAF

Always a moving experience at the #Northumberland Miners’ Picnic.
Listening to the service, hearing the bands and the choir—it never fails to stir something deep inside.
Proud of our roots and our history. We owe so much to the generations who worked the mines.

It was great to meet Dan again today at the Freedom of Northumberland event. I’m always struck by what a down-to-earth and genuine person he is. He is passionate about football, his family, and giving back to the community. Keep being yourself, Dan!
Always makes me look so short 😂

I had a fantastic night at the Ellington Colliery Brass Band Centenary Concert at St. John’s in Ashington, celebrating 100 years and looking forward to 100 more!

As always, I was moved by our local traditional "Colliers Requiem," and it was heartwarming to see families involved in the performance.

I attended a moving service at the county hall for Holocaust Memorial Day. We heard from a Ukrainian refugee who shared their recent experiences, as well as from Holocaust survivors. School children read poems, and Rabbi Lipsy gave a blessing. It was a truly powerful event. #HMD2025

Today is Holocaust memorial day and the theme this year is ‘A Better Fututre’.

This year marks the 80th year of the liberation of Auschwitz which is an important part to remember.

Later today I will attend the County Hall service along with colleagues to remember #hmd2025

This afternoon I’ve been out speaking to residents in Cramlington alongside Labour’s fantastic Cramlington South East candidate Allan Hepple and the Northumberland Labour team.

Allan’s got a record of delivery for residents and would be a great addition to County Hall.
