Does anyone have the scoop on how useful the Anki app is? I'm interested but it's $24.99 to purchase on the AppStore.

This will probably sound very trifling, but: if anyone merely has a copy of GWH Lampe's _A Patristic Greek Lexicon_ that they would like to part with for, um, let's say less than $100, please let me know. I have a digital copy but I would like to have the book in my hand.

Depression and anxiety suck but I like have a glimmer of motivation and hope. I'm planning to study Attic Greek or Biblical Hebrew, and to continue to master Latin in the meantime, this in addition to my reading regimen, God being my helper.

Ever since we moved I haven’t been able to find these lovely bookends. I plan to relocate my study workbench from the basement but I wish I knew where my bookends are.

Type of guy who watches 'Wicked' just to hear Cynthia Erivo sing "Defying Gravity."

I cannot sufficiently articulate my joy over the fact that Peter Brown's autobiography _Journeys of the Mind: a life in history_ is available through my local library both as an ebook and an audio book. What a boon!

Has anyone here read the works of Robert Taft as it relates to the History of the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom? I'm curious to know how badly I need to get my hands on a copy.

Our power to learn and discover is too great to be inhibited by time spent preoccupied with other people’s hobbies for fear of missing out.

I am not retired, and I am not a seasoned language scholar, but ever since I read about the language learning habits of Dr. Peter Brown in his retirement, I have not been able to stop thinking about them and longing to commit to some sort of diligent regimen of language study.

Does anybody have the raw data on how hard it is to make new friends in your forties?

Asking for a friend.

I had the unique opportunity to listen to a podcast with two of my undergrad theology profs, and I’d like to share one insight from it: theology cannot be divorced from the lived experience of the church. It can guide, inform, and challenge it, but it ought not be constructed apart from it.

I think I’ve said this before, but I’ll say again that gratitude is underrated.

Me: *Sends poast.*

Everyone else: 🧐 “Why is he always poasting about poasting?”

Me: 👀 “At least I’m not always printing.”
