Same here, moved to the middle of North Wales when I was 21. Walked out of the door the first night we were there and had to call my partner out to see the sky: it was the first time I saw the Milky Way.

Well, shit. I've been waiting for this. There could have been infrastructure in place to mitigate this. Air filtration, far UVC purification etc. Now, we're just fucked.

What springs to mind is Gaius Popillius Laenas facing down Antiochus IV Epiphanies, then drawing a circle around him. Basically, if he crossed the line without agreeing to piss off out of Egypt, he'd be at war with Rome.

So in the last 5 days, we've had Jake Paul and Andrew Tate getting battered, an American Nazi Pagan LARPer killed falling out of a tree whilst trying to harvest mistletoe: now this. I feel like my Christmas wishlist is almost complete. Just need the obituary we all want to see, to round it off
