This was Lake Ontario a while ago. When the thin sheet ice breaks up, it forms these delicate shards that get pushed upright against the shoreline and make the most beautiful ice music. Imagine an entire bay filled with these, and the tinkling sound as the waves roll in. It's magical.

This was Lake Ontario a while ago. When the thin sheet ice breaks up, it forms these delicate shards that get pushed upright against the shoreline and make the most beautiful ice music. Imagine an entire bay filled with these, and the tinkling sound as the waves roll in. It's magical.
