RIP David Lodge. Quite by accident, I played the organ for half of his son's wedding when I was a teenager.

I was about fourteen at the time. It's a story that could have come out of one of his novels, so let's give it a whirl on here... 🧵[Anecdote alert....]

Great piece by @timbale.bsky.social on the members flooding into Reform: mostly over-60, mostly men, mostly outside London & mostly Thatcherites/ultra-Tories.

Interesting to see how that develops as Reform goes after more Labour seats.
