At the very least I hope they add bike detection, or a beg button, at the light at 106th and Washington.

My wife bike commutes through there daily, and I ride through the area frequently. The last thing needed is more parking.

Frankly, I would like to see both streets become two-way, with one lane of traffic each way.

The key is not to expand the space available to cars—that produces sprawl and unwalkable, unlivable cities.

When you restrict the car space, and prioritize space for more efficient modes—that’s when you discover you have space left over for living.
