The F-4 Phantom is the first airplane I remember remembering. Its iconic lines - the cowlings hugging the cockpit, the slightly bent wings, the exhausts tucked under the tail - made it a favorite of mine as a kid.

Loooong windows are loooong! Look at those cockpit windows on the Concorde! And check out the nose seam that allows the front to drop down while the jet is on the ground (otherwise pilots wouldn’t be able to see to taxi). What a marvelously unprofitable machine!
