Yeah, every primary should be competitive to get better candidates.

Theres a reason why Schumer had Senators not up for election to capitulate in their vote for this.

Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive.

They had the Presidency/House/Senate from 2021-2023 and Schumer couldn’t find the votes needed in the Senate then.

I don’t expect anything from
Republicans and never will. If the elected Dems aren’t going to fight them then we need to find better candidates in primaries who will.

They’re smart enough to know Republicans were holding them hostage. The Dems caved and got nothing.
