There two types of account deactivation & deletion:
1) App level. Disable/remove the user from that app only
2) @ATProcol level. Disable/remove the user AND all content from APPs & PDS.
The OAuth User Account Page would be an ideal location to provide App & @ATProtocol deactivation / deletion.

@pfrazee.com @bnewbold.net Just confirmed a concerning behavior when deactivating & deleting a self-hosted account in the Bsky App. It deactivates & deletes the account in the PDS thereby removing access from other @Atproto apps. The Bsky App warning doesn't inform the user of this behavior.

Apps could help drive atmosphere's consumer education, awareness & adoption with branding guidelines. It's time to separate @ATProtocol from Bluesky.

Email communications from PDS's should also carry the @ATProtocol brand, perhaps alongside the PDS hosting provider for consumer awareness. Bluesky should be removed accept as a "hosting" provider of the consumer's PDS.
Suggestion: {Hosting Provider} | @ATProtocol.

While not perfect, Blebbit.app, is a good starting point IMO. The only exception is Bluesky shouldn't be highlighted -- only Blebbit.app alongside @ATProtocol.
Consistency is critical for customer awareness and adoption.
Suggestion: "Sign in with @ATProtocol" & no Bluesky references.

Case in point: Here’s an email sent from a non-Bluesky hosted PDS for forgot password. It should carry the Hosting provider brand alongside the ATProtocol brand. But instead it carries the Bluesky brand. No mention of ATProtocol. The changed password applies to all Apps on the protocol.

ATProtocol should not be synonymous with Bluesky. If apps brand consistently, then end users will better understand the value of the decentralized ecosystem.

This comes down to branding.
Sign up & Sign across all apps, including Bluesky, should be an AT Protocol brand.
Blebbit.app is a decent example of branding ATProtocol. However, it’s the Blebbit.app a user is signing into not Bluesky. End users don’t understand the difference.

Our house: 5 years #Covid free. No restaurants. Always in N95/KN95 at work, in school & all public indoor venues. Made exception for senior year choir performances. 1/3+ choir out sick after holiday performance. Daughter tested positive on day 9 of not feeling well. No anti-virals recommended! (1/2)
