Tell me about it. There's a picture of my son, then not quite a year old, where he's shorter than the snowbank at our house near Dulles Airport. In February, we've got a college visit trip planned. But it seems like just a bit ago that snow happened.

As many a sports coach has said, the best ability is availability. The Adams wrote each other so much, and never burnt any of their correspondence, so... they're available.

This is light years away from the point, but did you really need to label Caden Clark in the bottom quadrant? It's the offseason, I'm trying to forget we paid cash for him. I mean, I'm trying to forget a lot of things, but cash for Clark is definitely among them.

Emmanuel Boateng would fit that list too.

As much fun as it was to see Patrick Mullins score 4 goals in a game for us, I'm not sure I would view going back to those days as "fixed."

The Washington Capitals won three presidents trophies before they won their Stanley Cup. Absolutely no one thought they had won anything until that cup final run. The narrative was how they couldn't win the big one, they were a disappointment. CBS is right here.

It wasn't me this time, but as someone who has followed you since the OWFSS and sad stats days, and the profile that Clinton Yates did of you in the old Post Express, well, as Rangers fans in Scotland say it, Anywhere, everywhere we will follow on.

Sure, but this was so in the bag for the Dems that at my polling place the Republicans didn't even have someone handing out sample ballots. I do not understand why anyone says this race is representative of anything other than a blue suburb voting blue.

Not that I would want to go, but since DC isn't hosting, that means that, much like everything else these days, it will be held here but exclude the people from here. Unless I'm reading the fan lottery incorrectly.

I suppose the benefit of rooting for a bad team is that I can see where we rank even before logging in to get past the paywall. Also, you're definitely not wrong there.

Appears true for all agencies. OPM ran this survey and cancelled the whole thing from my understanding talking to employees in other agencies.

Careful...though I suppose we'll know Bluesky has made it if you have to spend the rest of the afternoon arguing if those clouds are actually in DC or not, or if your view of them marks you as a gentrifier, or whatever.

My new conspiracy theory is that his actual visa is still up in the air but he was able to get a temporary Canadian work visa, which is why they chose this game for his debut. To be clear I don't actually believe this but it would be funny.

Excellent news

William and Mary. Getting the local-ish one done first.

The vacation ones are always the hardest - getting two of something at Christmas is easy, but those never seem to be the things that matter. It's always the gift from both someone and somewhere else. Good luck in TJ Maxx.

Oof man, best of luck. It's been a few years since I've been there (we're actually on a college visit this weekend) but I can still remember that sinking feeling. Fingers crossed for you.

One of my son's coaches likes to say in situations like that "be sure!" Basically, it's ok to color outside the lines, but know you are doing it and do it with confidence. I liked using that attitude afterwards too, so you get to cheer the good thing and talk about the position too.

Are they frying them in tar instead of oil now?

Whatever became of you Huuubert?

Games like this and a couple home openers in MLS ought to be wake up calls for all teams in MLS, USL and NWSL (probably UFL and MLR too) that things are going to get tight in the economy and people will pick and choose. Need a compelling story every week to get people in.

I think he's the guy from that Hotels.com commercial that I saw.
