Crazy take on this one story? I used to wonder such things, but we have entered an age where Trump literally thinks about "spheres of influence" among "great powers", and includes Russia as one of those powers despite, well, everything backfiring on them when you pull back the propaganda.

It's all lip service until then.

The US a puppet state to Russia, Japan now falling under China's "sphere of influence", with the so-called "great powers" becoming bullies for little reason. Witness here with Xi commenting about beheading Japan's PM among other things. Betting by 2027 we'll just roll over when China invades Taiwan.

I remember Rob Reiner first as "Meathead" on "All In The Family". But his greatest gifts have been the many wonderful movies that helped define what's best in humans.

The worse irony of it all being largely due to the recent tax cuts (mostly to the wealthy) and the tariffs (a tax on buyers in the US) and in retaliatory tariffs on selling into foreign markets (a hit on US companies and farms).
