Here is the log before the colder weather

I don't have a view of the setting, it may not be there tomorrow, as the day warms up above freezing it melts away quickly - very transient. What looks like rock in one photo is the remains of bark (beech tree). Its a a fallen trunk about 2 feet in diameter. The view is c 12-14 inches at a guess
