Forewarned is forearmed: ever had that experience where you had to confront someone about their inappropriate behaviour but then walked away feeling like you were the bad guy and they were the victim?

Back when I was a broadcasting journalist, I used to play a game with myself. It involved a question when contemplating the many ambitious people I interviewed but also those other journos whom I felt were perhaps just a tad zealous in their career pursuits…(continues in comments)

Just finished my latest collaboration with Rhys Prichard, a hugely talented filmmaker. Ok, permit me a brief own-trumpet-blowing moment here but it is a real buzz when you see your name pop up on the credits. It’s like sitting back with that voiceover in your head going, “My work here is done.”😆

Happy birthday, Ludwig van Beethoven!

“The greatest writing of music has been this development into Bach and finally Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and so on… that was the apex probably of tonal organization.”

Stunning clouds this morning. Sometimes they look like distant hills, as though a land has appeared, like the legends of Ys, Atlantis and Lemuria.

The perfect soundtrack for this morning’s wee cosmic moment: “Nuages,” by Debussy. 💙

Really getting into Andor. Last night I got such a kick out of seeing TIE fighters fly over Perthshire. 😆🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s a great Star Wars series. Recalls the feelings and mood of Rogue One. Also, it did a great job of making just one fighter, more specifically its approaching sound, seem terrifying.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 HAPPY ST. ANDREW’S DAY! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s so great to hear community music-making, especially when it’s this good.

Tonight, the Dundee Symphony Orchestra celebrated St. Andrew’s Day with works inspired by home.

The night kicked off with reels from a brilliant local band.

Should’ve brought my hip flask. ❤️
