Torry is fighting back: our friends received legal advice that the land comprising St Fittick’s Park is held as part of the Lands of Torry Trust for the benefit of ‘education’ and the ‘poor’. This means that Aberdeen City Council may not use the land for commercial property. (3/4)

On Thursday, Aberdeen City Council yet again ignored the people of Torry to side with the "Energy Transition Zone" and cleared the way for the burn of St Fittick's Park to be destroyed. (2/4)

The campaign also needs time to slow down the ETZ destroying the park.
We are preparing for direct action. The fossil fuel lobby must be stopped. Torry’s working class community and their natural environment must be defended.

The Torry community are still fighting. Friends of St Fittick's Park are drawing up plans for legal action against Aberdeen City Council, and they say that given the legal advice received, they have a real chance of winning against council, big business and the fossil fuel lobby.
