MLK Jr was successful because he did not lower his discourse. Silent protest is also effective. There are many effective strategies, but abandoning the wisdom of inclusivity to not hurl body shaming insults is going backwards for no good reason.

It’s healthy for a society not to engage in the strategies of its enemies. Calling someone names related to their bodies is exercising a shaming behavior that shouldn’t be normalized. Ad hominem is the lowest form of argument. It feeds the cycle for what? No societal gains, just personal release

I don’t know. Also insults short people. Better to stick to their controllable flaws, like being evil. What’s the difference between insulting their weight or balding or race or age or face? Reject the dark side.

It’s interesting. LLMs are based on our collective writing, so it makes sense, but how are humans going to be able to prove they wrote anything without a deep system of authentication (which hasn’t been built yet)? I’ve been writing like this since before this recent iteration of ai was born.

strong disagree. bottlerocket is a charming visit with 90s man children, where Wes sets up the rules of his genre. here we have actors being humble idiots, an entire genre of letting characters lead and directors have the joy of crafting. watch the birth of success. smart and character driven.

likely an age thing because those were post-911 Bush years, WMDs, the birth of news channels, corporate malfeasance, and hope didn’t come back till summer 2008
