Unfortunately Allred has the personality of a piece of cardboard and also hasn't been doing the work to build momentum throughout the state. I'll still vote for him because of my absolute hatred for Ted Cruz, but he really needs to step up his game if he wants to win.

Student loan forgiveness. Didn't affect me at all (I'm an Old who paid off mine long ago), but I'm super happy it helped a lot of folks - especially younger ones - saddled with ridiculous amounts of educational debt.

Part of me thinks so too, but remember - Vance is funded by Peter Thiel and his cadre of cryptobros, so if he's replaced the Fanta Menace can say bye bye to any of their potential financial support.

We also have so many downticket Dem candidates here that are either right-leaning centrists or equivalent to traditional republicans that achieve very little to nothing. Some even switch parties after they're elected, so we don't trust any of them. *cough* mayor of Dallas *cough*

Hah! I live in Texas and there is no fucking way. It may go into purple territory, but not full blue. I do find it interesting that I'm seeing hardly any Fanta Menace signage and flags around, even in the suburbs of the large city I live in. In 2020 they were everywhere.

As someone who's worked in the tech industry for 3 decades on the design side, I can tell you it's not 'seems,' it absolutely is what a vast majority of startups and mainstream businesses are doing now. It's all about that short term money grab. Same grift, different day.
