A little Monday night dram, courtesy of @thewhiskywire.bsky.social. This is an 8 year old @bimberdistillery.bsky.social. Very sweet & sticky on the nose, which continues onto the palate. A beautiful, chewy, and full-bodied whisky. Very drinkable at 50%abv.

I hand filled this Tomatin Virgin Oak almost 5 years ago. It's been open almost the same amount of time and it's 61.8% abv has certainly held its flavour. What a dram! Slàinte 🥃

Dram 3. Port Wine LBV. On the nose this one is very subtle and light. Pears and rubber bands spring to mind. Sweet hints of white chocolate. #wireworkswhisky

I've cracked open the Tomatin Virgin Oak distillery exclusive tonight. There's loads of dust on the bottle, but at 61.8%, I'm sure the whisky will still taste just as great as the last time. Slàinte 🥃

So, I decided the HP wasn't really hitting the spot, so a secondary nightcap dram was required. This single cask "secret" Macallan should do the trick at 64%...slàinte 🥃
