Yes allow them where NEEDED. We do not need to be sending missiles into Russia’s land. Again, this is not our war either. And lastly, it’s a great thing he hasn’t kept his threats THUS far. That doesn’t mean we have to keep poking at the bear so to speak.

You want to talk about failing the American people? Biden's been failing the American people for 4 years...

No ones defending Putin at all, but you also seem to forget that this is not OUR war. We've already sent hundreds of billions to Ukraine which needs to stop, but now we're allowing them to use US missiles to attack inside of Russia? This is a huge risk to Putin retaliating and starting a world war.

Sure, it doesn't. Point still stands. It doesnt matter if you have top schools if you cant afford them or cannot get into them
But florida schools uf and fsu are all top 20 public schools, and are attainable to get into , and have amazing prices
The umass system has like one good public school lol
November 17, 2024 at 5:57 PM
Well the thing is it IS also accounting for quality. UF, FSU, UCF, UM, FIU, FAU, etc. Most all of those are solid schools. Sure, not all of them are top of the top but Florida is loaded with great schools for great prices which is extremely important. I see your point but price is a big player also!
November 17, 2024 at 5:44 PM
Well for one yes cheaper is better to an extent. If Florida is getting tons of college degrees without people going into crazy debt, that is obviously a good thing lmao.

Secondly, UF is a top 10 public school. And FL also has FSU, USF, UCF, UM, etc. Big volume of really really solid schools

The takeaway? Central planning leads to inefficiency, shortages, and ultimately the loss of freedom. We need to learn from history and defend free markets and individual liberty. 🔍🗽
November 17, 2024 at 4:09 PM
A great example is the tech industry. Tech constantly innovates because it’s largely free from central control. Entrepreneurs, not bureaucrats, decide where to invest capital and take risks. Imagine if we left this to government planners...innovation would die. 💻🚀
November 17, 2024 at 4:09 PM
The Austrian solution? Let markets work. 🌐 Free markets, driven by profit and loss, allow for efficient allocation of resources and innovation. It’s the decentralized decisions of countless individuals that create growth, not the mandates of the bureaucratic elite. 📈💰

This also applies to energy policies. Governments that heavily regulate or nationalize energy sectors often face shortages and blackouts. This can be seen in Venezuela. But countries with freer markets have more reliable energy solutions. ⚡💡
November 17, 2024 at 4:09 PM
Even in modern times, we see elements of central planning causing inefficiencies and shortages. Remember the empty shelves during COVID lockdowns? Central directives ruined supply chains that free markets typically balance through decentralized decisions. 🛒😷
November 17, 2024 at 4:09 PM
A common argument for socialism today is that with modern technology, central planning could finally work. But technology can’t solve the fundamental problem of decentralized knowledge. No algorithm can write legislature that equally accounts for problems in Miami, Orlando, etc.
November 17, 2024 at 4:09 PM
One of the greatest examples of central planning failure? Mao’s China. 🚨 During the “Great Leap Forward,” the government mandated steel production in backyard furnaces, diverting farmers from agriculture. The result? A famine that killed millions. 🌾⚰️
November 17, 2024 at 4:09 PM
In contrast, a free market benefits from the knowledge of millions of individuals making local decisions. Each person's buying or selling decision is a data point, sending signals through the price system that automatically adjusts production to match consumer demand. 📊💡
November 17, 2024 at 4:09 PM
This lack of localized knowledge leads to poor decisions that have consequences. Consider the Soviet Union’s infamous grain shortages while fields rotted or were plowed under because the central plans were disconnected from local realities. 🌾❌
